I still get regular requests for the newsletters that Holland & Helena used to compose and send out from their email addresses! As many of you know, this has been a very busy year for us; Diddies in school, Me (Mommy) working a bunch and 2 very active little ones! The newsletter went on hold until further notice and I figured that just holiday updates would sufficient, but apparently not.
I have been thinking about blogging for some time now. A few friends have recently started blogs and I have also found out that a bunch of other ones have had them for some time. I thought it would be a way to tell stories about our family and everyone can check in on us from time to time if they would like. Facebook has been a great way to share some of these stories with friends, but for the most part it's just bits and pieces of information and not the whole story! Finally, this past week, I realized that a blog could be the "newsletter replacement"!
Without further ado...I am excited to announce Banana Dutch Pie, our family stories blog! For those of you who don't know, those are all the kids nicknames. Hannah (our first born, the beagle) is often called Banana. Holland will eventually go by Dutch, maybe. For now he's "just Holland" as he says firmly! Helena picked up the name Pie at some point for some reason and it just stuck. Maybe it's short for Cutie Pie, not sure, but it works! It was almost going to be called Dutch Pie Pants, but that just didn't seem right. Hannah is more often called Pants than Banana, but the food all seemed to go together better!
